OPTIONS

We offer two options for participation:

  1. FULL TIME STUDENT - $3,150
This option is for individuals who are serious about pursuing a full or part-time career in dog training. Full time students must attend lectures, assist with minimum requirements for lessons, receive graded feedback on case studies, and have up to 1 year from the start date to sit the K9O-CDT exam and are prepared for the CCPDT-KA exam.

  2. AUDIT PARTICIPANT - $1575
This option is for dog lovers and enthusiasts who would like to learn more about dogs, but are not looking to start a new career. Audit students may partake in all the online lectures, may observe classes (no assisting), and are not required to submit case studies. Audit students are ineligible to sit the K9O-CDT exam, but are prepared for the CCPDT-KA exam.

K9O - CDT
CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER'S COURSE!

K9O-CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER

This program is designed for dog enthusiasts looking to become professional dog trainers.

LECTURES

Our program offers 21 lectures on all things dog: evolution, breed varieties, training methods, training tools, puppy development, obedience and manners, nuisance behaviors, handling behavior cases, integrating dogs, body language, communicating with owners, and more!

Lectures are held Mondays at 11:30AM via ZOOM and are typically 60 minutes in length (please allow for up to 1.5 hours if discussions arise).

ASSISTING

Students will also be required to assist in a variety of group classes and private lessons to work on their communication and training skills. Observing behavior, practicing handling, and interacting with clients is the best way to get confident!

ASSIGNMENTS

As part of your program, you will also be assigned 3 case studies, which will be submitted for grading. Instead of a point scale, your work will be rated on a Poor / Fair / Good / Excellent scale with feedback to help keep you on the right track.

CERTIFICAITON

Once you have completed all lectures and assisting hours, you will be able to take the K9OLOGY CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER (K9O-CDT) exam. Graduates will also qualify to take the nationally recognized CERTIFIED PET DOG TRAINER - KNOWLEDGE ASSESSED (CPDT-KA) if they so choose.
