Charlotte Wagner Harvey is an internationally renowned certified trainer and behaviorist who specializes in advanced training, performance sports, and working dogs. She has helped thousands dogs and owners reach their training goals since 2005. In addition to helping companion animals, she has also worked with cats, sheep, goats, horses, and other livestock.
Charlotte completed a Bachelors of Science with honors from the University of Essex in Animal Management. While studying in England she gained a wealth of knowledge in nutrition, anatomy and physiology, and behavior. On track for becoming a veterinarian, Charlotte decided to stick with her love of animal behavior. In addition to her formal education, she has also completed a certificate from the Penn Foster Career program as a dog obedience instructor. Charlotte is a certified American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizenship and trick dog evaluator. K9ology offers AKC sanctioned CGC classes, Star Puppy awards, and specialty events.
Charlotte has been a published author on numerous platforms. She currently writes for the Warrenton Lifestyle Magazine on the topic of pet husbandry, welfare, and training. She has been a guest lecturer for Fauquier County Public Schools, the Warrenton Rotary Club, The Fauquier County Sheriff's Department, the Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club, and has shared her knowledge on pet training and care with local pet stores and veterinary clinics.
Charlotte spends weekends competing with her beloved four legged friends in breed conformation, rally obedience, dock diving, agility, tricks training, and more! She is loved by her husband and a farm full of animals including: a Great Pyrenees, 2 Manchester Terriers, 3 American Staffordshire Terriers, a Border Terrier, English Setter, 2 horses, 2 cats, 2 cockatiels, rabbit, guinea pig, and a dozen chickens.
Heather Patterson has been trained by Charlotte through the K9ology Academy. Heather's passion is for dogs with a job and helping owners get their dog what they need! She teaches groups such as our puppy, tricks, off leash skills, and obedience classes and is an accredited AKC CGC evaluator.
Heather has extensive experience with dogs and their owners through previously working at a dog daycare facility and veterinary clinic. Heather thoroughly enjoys teaching her Papillon, Felix, new skills and takes him hiking during their free time. Heather is also a huge advocate for dog-child interactions and has promoted safe co-habitation of pups and humans since the arrival of her daughter, Riley.

Colleen Mairs started with K9ology in the Fall of 2018. After taking numerous private lessons with her own dogs, Colleen decided to pursue her passion of working with animals and enrolled in the K9ology Academy. Since joining the team, Colleen has taken the lead with the K9ology Walk N' Train program and also offers pet sitting and overnight care.
In addition to having a love for dogs, Colleen has also worked at a local shelter and is a huge advocate for rescue and shelter pets.
